Each week I am forced to drag to the curb
a full trash bag of perfectly useable ribbons (mostly
blank side streamers). I am currently brainstorming some
ideas for quilts that can either be shipped as a
finished quilt for guests to sign as they enter
the wedding (or other event) or to double as table centerpieces
to be signed with names and well-wishes during the reception
and then returned to me to be assembled into the finished
quilt. This is not only a beautiful, functional keepsake
but quite green as it would divert some beautiful materials
otherwise bound for the landfill.
Small Quilt for Cathedral Entrance (3'x4')
= ~$60 through enough center-pieces for a Queen Sized
Quilt (7'x7') = ~$245
